Audio Story

Introduction  My audio story is situated around the question, "Does music affect personality?" I was able to go out and get three people on the street interviews and an expert interview. Throughout my podcast you can hear how I follow the Radio Lac Arc, by somewhat knowing something, knowing a little more, and then questioning what I know. I hope you enjoy listening and learn more about music pertaining to personalities.  This podcast was extremely fun to edit and put together. I learned how to adjust audio levels, erase sound, razor clip audio, and even add SFX and background music. Adding the voiceover was another part I enjoyed because it creates depth to the podcast. I feel very happy with what I have produced and can't wait to make more podcasts.  Audio Story  Mikayla Jackson · AudioStory Mixdown

Second Rough Draft: Interview

Introduction  The scope of this blog post is going to cover the rough draft interview clips. I inserted a voiceover with a strong reflection on something my expert talked about. Then, I proceeded to add background music and fine-tune my audio. Although I am only submitting 20-30 seconds that I edited I took the time to go ahead and edit more. This is all leading me to have a finalized podcast.  Theme     The theme of my person on the street interview is the effect certain genres of music have on personality. This question is extremely broad and can be interpreted differently for each individual person based on their own musical preference, that is what I find so interesting. I have learned that the majority of people associate the same musical genres to aspects of personalities. For example, many students said that happiness can be associated with pop music because of the upbeat tune. I am still at a question mark kind of stage though because this association can bec...

Expert Interview

My Expert The "expert" I decided to interview is my suitemate, Emma Longboat. Emma is a music major at HighPoint University and is deeply involved in the musical world. She is a part of the coed singing group, Offbeats. She is also involved in chapel singing. Music is something she lives, eats, and breathes. She continues to study the effects of music and is asked to create her own arrangements. Considering everything I do believe that Emma has a full understanding of the effect music can have in someone's life.  Editing Experience I found it easier to edit this audio because we had previously been working on getting small clips and merging them together. I have used Adobe Premiere in a previous class and working with Audition is not much different. The razor tool was extremely helpful in cutting out exactly what I needed too. I was able to learn how to utilize all of these tools from the video in our weekly readings (Mike Russell). Full Interview  https://soundcloud.com/...
