Expert Interview

My Expert

The "expert" I decided to interview is my suitemate, Emma Longboat. Emma is a music major at HighPoint University and is deeply involved in the musical world. She is a part of the coed singing group, Offbeats. She is also involved in chapel singing. Music is something she lives, eats, and breathes. She continues to study the effects of music and is asked to create her own arrangements. Considering everything I do believe that Emma has a full understanding of the effect music can have in someone's life.

Editing Experience

I found it easier to edit this audio because we had previously been working on getting small clips and merging them together. I have used Adobe Premiere in a previous class and working with Audition is not much different. The razor tool was extremely helpful in cutting out exactly what I needed too. I was able to learn how to utilize all of these tools from the video in our weekly readings (Mike Russell).

Radio Lab Arc

I decided to switch my interview around from my first rough draft. I think this will allow me to follow the Radio Lab Arc closer. Originally, I did not have much knowledge of the true effect of music on individuals' personalities. Hearing others on the street agree with the idea that certain music can determine a person's personality was interesting. Especially when some of these interviews included examples of specific music they associate with certain personalities. Finally, I was able to get more of an insight into music and the facts about music.
