Second Rough Draft: Interview

Introduction

The scope of this blog post is going to cover the rough draft interview clips. I inserted a voiceover with a strong reflection on something my expert talked about. Then, I proceeded to add background music and fine-tune my audio. Although I am only submitting 20-30 seconds that I edited I took the time to go ahead and edit more. This is all leading me to have a finalized podcast.

Theme

The theme of my person on the street interview is the effect certain genres of music have on personality. This question is extremely broad and can be interpreted differently for each individual person based on their own musical preference, that is what I find so interesting. I have learned that the majority of people associate the same musical genres to aspects of personalities. For example, many students said that happiness can be associated with pop music because of the upbeat tune. I am still at a question mark kind of stage though because this association can become biased and extremely different based on how important music is to you.

Helpful Tricks

Although I have knowledge of Adobe from a prior class I have still learned a plethora of tricks for Adobe Audition. We covered in class how to fade in/out and adjust audio which contributed to this editing process a lot. Additionally, I was able to remove noise from my audio files with help from the weekly readings and videos (Levine, 2016).

Final Thoughts

In conclusion, I am a few steps further to having a finished podcast. The process was extremely fun and interesting to edit everything together. I am starting to come up with more ideas about how I want to incorporate background music and voiceovers, possibly even sound effects.
